The collection “The Madhubani Love” draws inspiration from the timeless Madhubani paintings — a traditional art form rooted in the cultural heritage of Bihar.

Each piece in this series represents one of the five stages of love described across various Indian scriptures.

This kurta illustrates the third stage of love: Viraha (Seperation).

In the Bhagavata Purana, Viraha is the moment when distance reveals truth. It is the stage where separation sharpens emotion, testing ego, clarity, and inner strength. Pain becomes a mirror, showing what the heart truly values—proving that love often deepens in the space between two souls.

Designed to interpret the emotional depth of Viraha, this soft grey kurta brings a quiet stillness to the silhouette. The gentle sheen of the fabric mirrors the calm after a storm — a moment when distance allows truth to surface.

The front panel features an elaborate Madhubani-inspired tree motif, its branches spreading outward like unspoken thoughts, each leaf carrying a subtle weight of longing. Two birds sit apart on different branches, close enough to feel each other’s presence yet separated by the quiet pause between them. Their stillness reflects the essence of Viraha — where space tests emotion, and separation sharpens clarity.

The straight, buttoned placket creates a clean vertical line, reinforcing the theme of steadiness and introspection. Full-length sleeves add a sense of grounded elegance, balancing the artwork without overpowering it. The layered hem and tonal trousers complete the look with understated sophistication.

This piece becomes more than attire — it becomes a visual poem of distance, reflection, and the deeper love that often emerges through separation.
